Pet Services

There's nothing that compares to the unconditional love and companionship that animals can offer. Our beloved pets are as cherished and loved as family and their innate ability to reciprocate the love and affection we give them creates a mysterious, beautiful bond. The loss of a family member is no less heartbreaking and confusing even if they are furry, scaled, or feathered.

Initial Consultation

Many of us have only a limited knowledge of who our pets truly are and are often unaware of their point of view. I help people with pets who are experiencing chronic or terminal illness. I offer holistic end of life support for pets that goes beyond medicating them. I also help people with pets who are experiencing behavioral challenges. We meet together initially to explore the exact needs for you and your pet and establish a plan of support from there.

Animal Reiki

Reiki is an energy healing technique that uses “hands-on” and also “hands-off” healing. This technique can assist in relieving or reducing pain and discomfort by balancing the body's energy centers, more commonly known as the chakras. With many animals I work remotely. Most of my clients report that their pets are calmer and in less pain after a Reiki treatment.

Grief Support

Grief is a normal human reaction to loss, and bereavement is the process we naturally undertake to heal from our losses and move forward with our lives. An End-of-Life Doula is a holistically trained, non-medical, “companion”, whose primary job is to offer an extra layer of care and emotional support before, during, and after a death. Talking to a professional doula about your loss can help you navigate your grief and “jumpstart” your personal healing process. My goal is to support you and your family in grief.

Grieving stinks. It is challenging, heartbreaking work. But what if grief were also an opportunity to embrace self-acceptance, experience creative inspiration, and make space for laughter? What might life look like if an awareness of death empowered us to reevaluate our relationship to our belongings and ourselves? After grief asks us to bear witness to our pain, it can be an invitation to rediscover the past, celebrate the present, and prepare for a more meaningful future.

Hospice and Animal Death Doula Services

Being a pet death doula is one of the pillars of my work. I support you and your pet before, during and after death and offer emotional, spiritual and practical guidance for you and your pet.  I can create a plan of comfort and ease for you and your pet. I can initiate safe and compassionate conversations about death. I can demystify the dying process and euthanasia. I can offer assistance in discovering the options and services available to pets and their humans during the end-of-life. I will provide a more peaceful experience for all involved. I offer support in natural after-death care in the comfort of your home.

Celebration Services

I am able to do a body washing and oils ritual with a pet. I will anoint the pet with essential oils the night before the ceremoiny. Then I will write the oils ritual, in which I remind your pet of how much they are loved and how much gratitude you have for their service here. I also offer your pet information on what each oil does and how it will help them die a good death. Tha morning of the oils ceremony, we will hand feed your pet and then put on their favorite calming meditation music. We will  prepare a sponge bath bowl with warm water and antibacterial soap, and perform a complete body washing. We will massage his ears during the bath. Then, I will perform the ritual with the oils. I will open each bottle, allow your pet to smell each one, and then place each appropriately on their correlating chakras. The Palo Santo oil, will be run through their aura from base to nose. Once the bath and ritual is complete, your pet should be very calm and ready to sleep.

I will work with you and your family in creating a memorial and celebrating your special bond.  Your pet should be ready to receive visitors. Candles can be lit , pictures can be displayed, and visitors can show love and affection as allowed by you and your pet. Your pet can be given treats as tolerated. If the vet is coming by to offer euthanasia, now would be the appropriate time.

This is not a time for worry but a time for sailing into the mystery. Everyone should be filled with gratitude for the simplicity and beauty of it. We can be thankful your pet died in your arms.

Pet Empowerment

Do you live with a pet who is aging, has chronic health issues or displays mystifying behaviors? This program is a multi step process that identifies the underlying issues of your pet's discomfort and behavior. We create solutions for your "Best Pet Ever" from the inside out. This program is designed to create lasting results and includes a variety of modalities that are custom-tailored for you and your pet. The program also provides holistic support for you and your pet when your pet is reaching the end of his or her life. The program often includes house calls in addition to remote sessions.

Using a combination of specific touches, lifts, and movement exercises, Therapeutic Touch helps to release tension and increase body awareness. This allows your pet to be handled without provoking the typical fear responses, so that your pet can learn more appropriate behaviors. Touch builds confidence for your pet and helps him or her recover from illness or injury - or just improve the quality of their life. Touch can help with fear and PTSD, aggressive behavior, excitability and nervousness, and problems associated with aging.
